Disable / Hide Backstage Button and QAT

Mar 21, 2010 at 4:58 PM

Hi,

is there a way to hide the Backstage Button and QAT (set visibility to Hidden or Collapsed) in the current release and if not, is it planned to implement it?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Matthias

Hi,

is there an easy way to change the text of the Backstage Button?

Because i didn't know, i simply changed the private variable "backstageButton" in the Ribbon to public.

@Matthias:  With this workaround it is also possible to hide the Backstage Button by Visibility=Visibility.Collapsed.

@Matthias: The QAT can be hidden by Ribbon.IsQuickAccessToolBarVisible

Thank you,

Achim

Another way can be:
RibbonLocalization.BackstageButtonText = "My Text";

sure it is a basic question, but how can I do that (RibbonLocalization.BackstageButtonText = "My Text";) in XAML?

I mean, under what kind of tag shall I add it? RibbonWindowsResources? Ribbon? other?

And why not make it Content instead of Text? that way someone could add an image for instance...
