Fluent:ComboBox Keyboard Issue

Jun 23, 2010 at 11:54 PM

First of all thank you very much for this excellent control.  Very easy to implement, highly functional and LOOKS GREAT! We are extremely close to finalizing our application and have noticed a few very minor issues some we have been able to work around.  This issue we have not.

When the ComboBox has focus (either via keyboard Tab or KeyTip) you should be able to continue to navigate through ComboBox items using keyboard Down Arrow or Up Arrow.  Unfortunately in Fluent.dll v1.3 Down Arrow or Up Arrow has no affect.

1) In the KeyTips Sample application, you can replicate this by adding:

<Fluent:ComboBox Name="cboTest" Fluent:KeyTip.Keys="T" Width="70"/> to the Ribbon GroupBox entitled Group.

2) In the RibbonWindow_Loaded Event, add the following:

this.cboTest.Items.Add("Item 1");
this.cboTest.Items.Add("Item 2");
this.cboTest.Items.Add("Item 3");
this.cboTest.SelectedIndex = 0;

Run the Sample app and execute: Alt, then A, then T, then execute Down Arrow, Down Arrow, Up Arrow to see the issue.  Or Tab to the control to gain focus and then then execute Down Arrow, Down Arrow, Up Arrow.  Is keyboard navigation an issue that can be fixed?  Thank you so much.  Kristi

We are working under v2 where the issue will be eliminated.
