Resizing Backstage

Oct 6, 2010 at 12:18 PM

If I resize the main window while Backstage is open, as soon as I close the backstage (click on one of the other ribbon tabs), the window returns to its previous size.

This doesn't happen in (e.g.) Word 2010

If your window has insufficient size when you are tring to open Backstage, the window will be enlarged, after closing Backstage it will be restored to its previous size (if you have not changed it).  It happens in Word 2010 as well.

No. Backstage is plenty large enough. I'm not talking about an automatic action. This is the user resizing the window while Backstage is open. It makes no difference whether the user shrinks or grows the window; as soon as Backstage is closed, it gets restored to the original size. This is in the 2.0 Technical Preview build.

Can you repro it in FluentTest.exe? Is it occur from time to time or permanently?

It doesn't happen in the test app.

Okay. On investigation, my RibbonWindow_SizeChanged handler (which saves width & height) is setting e.Handled = true; If I don't set that, then this problem goes away.
