Issue? Ribbon bar is disabled if a CustomControl is opened

Mar 25, 2010 at 10:25 AM

I implemented a ribbon button in my application which loads a file.
If I press on this button a custom control (load dialog) opens, and the ribbon bar is disabled.

So far, so good. But, if I close the custom control, the ribbon bar stays disabled. The only way to enable the bar again is to change the focus to another program and return to my application.

Is there a way to tell the ribbon bar not the disable the complete bar, if it losts its focus?

Thanks for your help

Hi, Dieter.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I have just tried to add a button, subscribe to click event and show dialog ((new OpenFileDialog()).ShowDialog()). And.. all works properly. If you still have the issue, please, create a new issue (, decribe it there in details and we will investigate it more closely.

Thanks, Daniel
