Hello,

It appears that the "File" tab is automatically inserted in a ribbon control. Can someone please tell me how I can remove it?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards,
Peter

A new version V2.0 is in the world. Again, there is a request to delete the "File" tab. Thank you for your reply.

@vecerova

Check out the screentips or resizing samples in the v2.0 beta. There is no file menu so I assume it's something they have implemented in .NET4.0 in VS2010.

It looks like it's managed through the menu & backstage classes so you can have ribbons without the file menu bundled in.

A lot of the limitations of the previous control (which is very good)  are been addressed.

Yes, you have to not set Ribbon.Menu property to remove 'File menu'.

Ribbon.Menu element can not be used. VS will not let me use it, unfortunately. Can I ask a more specific example of a solution. thanks

@vecerova

Really in v2.0 there is no Ribbon.Menu in implicit situation, probably you are still trying v1.3 - check assembly details.
