There is a button on my ribbon near the control box buttons on the right that minimizes the ribbon. I have linked to a picture to show which button I am talking about. You can view the picture by clicking the link. Picture link is at bottom of post.

How do I get rid of this button either in XAML or by C#. I am not trying to disable its effects, I am trying to get rid of the button as a whole.

I also want to remove the effect of the double click event on a tab, but I have read you must over ride the double click event which just sounds wrong to me. Is there no way in XAML or C# or via the properties window to disable this effect?

Removing this button would not comply with the office ribbon guidelines.

So why do you want to remove it?
